We work on government funded projects that require mandatory compliance and oversight, and with private asset owners who want to ensure their projects are being delivered to the required standards and expected design.

NATA accredited to ISO/IEC 17020 and VicRoads signatory, ProQM provide inspection and surveillance services that start well before anything is fabricated or installed.

We engage with the nominated suppliers prior to the fabrication process to familiarise ourselves with their operation, including a review of their Inspection Test Plans (ITP), Quality Management Plans (QMP), Weld Procedure Specifications (WPS), PQR (Procedure Qualification Record), concrete mix designs and coatings specifications, before collating our findings in a NATA endorsed report.

Thereafter, ProQM closely monitors the fabrication and construction processes, ensuring compliance with design plans, specifications and Australian standards.

With our in-depth knowledge of governing authority and industry standards, our qualified and experienced team performs inspection and surveillance of:

Welding - bridge girders, gantries and primary steel sections
Coatings - NACE 2 surveillance officers for substrate blasting, coating, and galvanizing, concrete coating and testing
Structural Steel Erection and Bolting - inventory appraisal, bolt tensioning, welding and traceability
Precast Concrete - prestressed beams, planks and precast, in situ structural concrete for bridge abutments, columns, crossheads, diaphragm walls and piles
Civil - proof rolling, inspection of drainage, compaction, piling and tunnelling

In doing so, ProQM has represented key Tier 1 & 2 principal contractors during our construction activities in the following roles:

VicRoads Technical Bulletin Surveillance Officer - TB46, TB47 & TB48, which ProQM is NATA accredited to

ProQM provided the project with professional services including highly competent and friendly inspectors. The result of their involvement was a facility that maintained the utmost compliance, as well as a higher quality product for the end user. Furthermore, the industry knowledge of the inspectors engaged by ProQM provided the LS Precast team with advice that has resulted in improved processes.

Ahead of onsite installation, ProQM highlighted issues and proposed solutions to ensure compliance to the required standards and specifications. They also coordinated with site engineers and managed ProQM resources on site to accommodate the installation program, sign off hold points on time, and ensure there were no delays in production. Because of ProQM's thorough inspection and surveillance, no reworks were needed.

ProQM provided the project with peace of mind, knowing that offsite manufacturing was being monitored to the highest quality. Their involvement also provided our clients with security and certainty that the project would be delivered on time and as per the program, without potential impacts from defects delaying the construction schedule. This ultimately enabled the project to ensure compliance with Australian Standards and the Project Quality Management Plan, while at the same time going above and beyond to ensure the highest quality products were being produced for the project. ProQM’s personnel were also friendly and always available for a conversation or inspection when required.
